Yes. Solent Home Fix carries public liability insurance for your peace of mind, and I bring over 20 years of home improvement experience to every job, from a single repair to a full room refresh.
How does pricing work?
You agree the price before I start — the quoted price is the price you pay. Send a photo of the job through the Snap & Send enquiry form or WhatsApp, and I will make contact and arrange to come and visit to confirm the scope. Once we agree, the quoted price is the price you pay.
What hours are you available?
Mon–Sat, 8am–6pm, with Sundays closed and bank holidays by arrangement. I confirm appointment times in advance and let you know promptly if anything changes, so you are never left waiting.
What jobs will you take on?
Everyday repairs, painting and decorating, wallpapering, flat-pack assembly, shelving and wall-mounting, TV brackets, non-gas plumbing such as taps and silicone resealing, and light electrical tasks like light fitting and faceplate swaps. Larger projects such as bathroom refits and kitchen upgrades are welcome too.
Is there anything you do not do?
Yes — I do not carry out gas work of any kind, and I do not undertake gardening or landscaping. Gas appliances should always be handled by a Gas Safe registered engineer. If you are unsure whether a job falls within scope, just ask when you enquire and I will be straight with you.
